Things to Know about StackFood’s Order Confirmation Models

The most common and acceptable answer to “What is an order confirmation model?” is how an order is received and completes the order journey of a customer. The shorter the journey, the better the user experience.

However, most restaurant businesses have the same traditional order confirmation model. Which leads to many customers failing to get their orders. StackFood’s order confirmation models serve all customers without missing any orders.

In this blog, I’ll discuss the order confirmation models of StackFood and show you how they can be beneficial for your business. Without any further due, let’s get started!

Types of Order Confirmation Models in StackFood

StackFood is a multi restaurant food ordering and delivery solution. It comes with two order confirmation models. Let’s see how StackFood handles its orders–

Restaurant-first Order Confirmation Model

In this model, the order flow goes like this–

A customer places an order through the StackFood app/web > Restaurant accepts that order and starts to prepare it > Deliveryman receives the food from the restaurant once it’s prepared by the restaurant > Deliveryman delivers the food to the customer.

Deliveryman-first Order Confirmation Model

In this model, the order flow goes like this–

A customer places an order through the StackFood app/web > A deliveryman accepts the order and sends it to the restaurant > Restaurant receives that order and starts to prepare it > Deliveryman collects the food from the restaurant once it’s prepared by the restaurant > Deliveryman delivers the food to the customer.

Both models have been designed to serve every customer so that no orders go missing. In the next section, I’ll discuss the importance of having multiple order confirmation models.

Importance of Different Order Confirmation Models

If you talk about how the system works for a food ordering and delivery solution, the Restaurant-first Order Confirmation Model is the most common one. However, there is a usual issue that many customers face in this model. Let me show you a scenario–

Suppose a customer orders food from a restaurant. According to the Restaurant-first Order Confirmation Model, that restaurant will receive and accept the order. It will start preparing food and call a deliveryman once it’s done.

Now, if there isn’t any deliveryman available at that moment, the delivery time will increase. And in some cases, the order gets canceled! This creates a bad impression of customer satisfaction and leads to a negative impact on your business.

To prevent this problem, StackFood has another order confirmation model, that is Deliveryman-first Order Confirmation Model.

According to the Deliveryman-first Order Confirmation Model, when a customer places an order, a deliveryman accepts that order first. Then he sends the order to the restaurant and that restaurant starts to prepare the food.

Once the food is ready, the restaurant handovers the food to that deliveryman. Then the deliveryman delivers the food to the customer.

This model eliminates the possibility of encountering the same issue again. When a customer places an order, a deliveryman is immediately assigned upon being the first to accept the request, ensuring a quick and accurate food delivery.

As you can see, there is little chance of missing orders using the Deliveryman-first Order Confirmation Model. It enhances customer satisfaction, thus boosting your business even more!
